DriveWorks / SolidWorks Implementation – The implementation of DriveWorks and SolidWorks at Freudenberg Oil & Gas Technologies forms a product configurator for a number of the Vector products, Flangelok compact flanges, Techlok Clamp Connectors and Swivel Flanges. The configurator is used internally to aid the design team and speed up both customer quotations and the generation of full production drawings. The configurator can be used completely unmanned to generate entire pipe lines of bespoke flanges based on an integrated element connecting DriveWorks with a product analysis system.
The configurator utilises the full DriveWorks Pro Software suite Administrator, Live and Autopilot. Due to the changeable nature and size of large pipeline orders of connectors the generation of CAD models for CNC and engineering drawings for both quote and production can be a huge and ongoing task. The configurator now allows large batches of flanges to run time and time again when specification changes are required.
The configurator is not only used for the production side of the business, it utilises connections with the company website to provide their customers with 3D CAD models via automated email settings and can also provide web users with an on the fly generation of bespoke flanges.
